MASSIVE WEEKEND AHEAD AT LCC!!

Clubhouse open 530pm Fri, 12 noon Sat & 1pm Sun for live cricket, England in the RWC and Euro Championship football plus Sunday petanque.

BREAKING NEWS - "Last Night of the Proms" tickets on sale from this evening in the clubhouse - the DATE FOR YOUR DIARY is 7pm on Saturday 23rd September.

The impact the new Lightcliffe Cricket Club clubhouse has made not just for players and members of LCC but the village of Lightcliffe as a whole is best exemplified by the weekend ahead just off Till Carr Lane. The live cricket to watch and petanque to play plus mouthwatering rugby and football fixtures on the big screen, not to mention the award winning afternoon teas and superb suppers, show why the clubhouse is proving a big hit .

On Friday, the clubhouse opens at 530pm whilst junior cricket training continues in the late summer heatwave. Showing on the big screen is the RWC Opening Ceremony at 7pm then hosts FR v NZ at 8pm with farm shop fayre available in the form of hot dogs or steak or pork pie and peas. The draft offering remains the very popular Vocation Bread & Butter, Neck Oil, Moretti and Inches Cider - all served with a large LCC smile!

On Saturday, with a 12 noon start, the 2nd XI host Hanging Heaton in a "Winner Takes All" battle to stay in the top flight of the Bradford Premier League 2nd XI competition. Having secured promotion with a last day victory 12 months ago, David Knight's charges will hope to provide a fitting finale to this season in front of the spectacular new clubhouse.
In the clubhouse there is international football at 5pm with ENG v UKR in a European Championships Qualifier followed by ENG v ARG at 8pm in the RWC with hot dogs or steak or pork pie and peas available throughout the evening.

On Sunday, the final fixture of the season sees the 3rd XI host Sowerby Bridge at 12 noon, the petanque section play at 130pm (all welcome to give it a try with boules available to borrow!)
In the clubhouse, the RWC action continues with SCO v RSA at 445pm and WAL v FIJ at 8pm with supper available again!!
