Ending 4th in the league table with 11 wins from 22 and 8 defeats - and while one of those ended the season there was an outstanding bowling performance from Yusuf Malik.

The former Lightcliffe junior has shone through the second half of the season in particular and took 5-38 - his second 5-for of the season, the first coming just seven days before.

His 47 wickets for 927 runs across the season give him an average of 13.94, the third best in Division 1 this season.

The 2nd XI finished their campaign in the way we’ve been used to this season - getting brilliant wins against quality opposition and in style.

The final day saw them beat the team who were crowned champions of 2nd XI Premier, Woodlands CC, by 79 runs after captain Rob Burton (3-7) and Oliver Barrowcliffe (3-20) tore through their lower order.
