Their Saturday game at Till Carr Lane against Altofts was abandoned due to a series of heavy rain showers.
The 7 points that meant for Lightcliffe means the 2nds are now guaranteed a top two league place with just one game remaining.
Before the heavens opened, Altofts had made 153/7 from their 50 overs with James Horne taking 3-23 and captain Rob Burton taking 3-27. In reply, Lightcliffe were only 5 overs in when the torrential rain showers interrupted the sunshine and forced the early end.
The 2nds now have one more game this season as they welcome Sandal to Till Carr Lane next Saturday (20th September) hoping for better weather and a positive result as they need just four further points to guarantee the title.
