For the first time in our 151-year history, Lightcliffe Cricket Club will host the Bradford Premier Cricket League’s Priestley Cup Final this weekend.
New Farnley and Woodlands will descend on Till Carr Lane for the fixture which starts at 12noon and we hope as many people as possible will come down to support the day of cricket, food and fun.
Ahead of that, our 1st and 2nd XI are in action on Saturday.
The 1sts are at home again and welcome Baildon in a match sponsored by Colin Dent. After a successful few weeks, the Villagers are up to fifth in the Division 1 table with 200 points from 17 games with 8 wins. The weekend’s visitors are ninth in the table with 172 points.
After defeat at table toppers Woodlands last Saturday, the 2nds are on the road once more and face another tough game against second placed New Farnley. Lightcliffe sit fourth in the 2nd XI Premier table with 12 wins from 17 while New Farnley have chalked up 14 wins.
Good luck to all our teams, all our players and all our team hosting this weekend’s big Priestley Cup Final.
Team news to follow.
