A packed St Matthews Church saw record numbers attend the first social function of 2020.

70 club members, senior & junior players and friends of LCC made up 10 teams who braved a cold night to enjoy a warm and entertaining evening.

It was a packed best attended gathering in this series of events over the last decade, where we ran out of furniture to host proceedings!

Quizmaster Matthew Whiley was again the focus of proceeding with some challenging rounds (supported by his wingman score-keeper Dad, Mark).

Catering and Bar Duties were efficiently maanged by Bob, Clare, James Horne & Chris, Pat Drake, whilst Roger Stead once again removed further change from pockets by running the Raffle.

Thanks also to Mike Thomas, Bob Horne & John Brooke for prize donations.

It was neck and neck through the contest with 10 rounds plus a lyrics section.

It was confirmed we were only 3 miles from Halifax town centre, The Maldives is a disappointing holiday venue for mountaineers and - after a late steward's enquiry (using our expert panel of Equine Tipsters) confirmation that Red Rum never fell (rider unseated once) .

Thanks to all who attended and who went home in good spirits making the event such a great night.
