Fresh from winning the Grey Fox Trophy Plate on Sunday, Rob Burton & James Horne, plus Richard Nichols – all former 1st XI Lightcliffe Captains – were part of the team to take on Ireland Over 50s at Merrion CC.

After Yorkshire made 147/8 from their 25 overs, Villagers Rob and James opened the bowling for the visitors and their miserly spell – 2-16 from 5 for Rob, 1-10 from 5 for James – meant the hosts were always behind the rate and fell 41 runs short when Richard took the final two wickets in the 23rd over.
