After first practice last Friday, we are looking forward to this Friday at 6pm. Focus will be on batting & fielding as the Minis play on Sunday!

Message from Paul Ramsden

After a very successful first practice last Friday, we are looking forward to this Friday again at 6pm. We will be concentrating on batting and fielding to prepare for Sunday. (Please inform your child(ren) there will be no bowling at practice this week!!).

Thanks to Lucy Stead and Laura Horne the tearoom will be open this Friday evening - we will be looking for volunteers to help out on other Friday evenings throughout the summer.

We will also welcome any home baked cakes/buns to sell on Friday evenings - I (!!!!!) will start the ball rolling by providing a cake or two this week - anybody else for this week?

Going forward we will sort a 'rota' for baking and 'staffing' the tearoom!!

Sunday 15th May -
as the weather forecast is good, we are repeating the successful 'matches' we held at the tea interval last summer when Wakefield Road hosted the Priestley Cup semi-final.

This Sunday is a local derby in the Priestley Cup with Hartshead Moor our visitors at Wakefield Road.

As many will remember from last year, it is impossible to accurately predict the time of a tea interval - the latest it can be is 410pm but it is likely to be earlier and could be much earlier if the side batting first is bowled out cheaply.

The match starts at 1pm - I would advise arriving for 2pm just in case - this could mean a long wait but I'd hate for any of the children to miss out and they can 'run riot' around the grounds!! The tearoom selling a full range of beverages will be open and there may be a BBQ!!

Subs this week are £2 (£1 for each of Friday and Sunday) - it would be helpful if this could be paid on Friday as it will be pretty busy on Sunday!!

See you at the weekend!!
