After captaining the U15s to victory on the Collinson Cup on Monday, Monty Ramsden was at Middleton Cricket Club on Wednesday for the Yorkshire Pathway XI v Lancashire U16s.
The two-day fixture saw the young villager open the innings with Ollie Wilson, from the North Yorkshire Premier League, and together they formed an opening wicket 73 partnership.
Monty was the second wicket to fall for 32 after two hours at the crease which included five 4s - the well-crafted innings helped Yorkshire reach 249 all out and also saw him crash through 2,000 runs for the 2025 season.
In reply, Lancashire had reached 132 for 5 by the close of play - and all five wickets were to catches by wicketkeeper Monty.
On day two, a further catch from Monty gave Yorkshire a 13 run first innings lead and the match was drawn after time ran out for the game with the white rose side of the Pennines adding 87 for 3 wickets in their second innings.
Congratulations once again to Monty who is demonstrating he's a force to be reckoned with at the top of the batting order, behind the stumps and as a leader on and off the field.
