Unfortunately, this isn’t going to be possible. Rajat is in great form for Tripura and has made himself available for local based games after his commitments in First Class and List A fixtures – making him unavailable for the UK Summer Season.

It’s an unfortunate situation but after a number of discussions with Rajat, we understand and continue to support his progress in the game.

We know everyone will keep a close eye on Rajat’s performances in India and he’ll always be welcome back and remains part of the LCC family.

Clearly that does though leave a gap for an overseas player in the 1st XI and, having been aware this could be a situation we’re faced with for a few weeks ago, we’ve been assessing alternative options. We hope to be able to update everyone on that in the days ahead.
