It was a brilliant final weekend of the season for Lightcliffe as the 2nd and 3rd XIs secured their league titles.

On Saturday, the entire fixture list was washed out by the torrential and non-stop rain and that meant the 2nd XI were confirmed as the Bradford League 2nd XI Division 1 winners by 17 points from Farsley CC with 14 wins and just 4 defeats.

The 1st XI's final match was abandoned early with no chance of play meaning Lightcliffe finished in second, having already secured promotion, 69 points clear of the third placed team.

On Sunday, the 3rd XI managed to get their fixture completed - and what a match it was, winning by 70 runs at Low Moor Holy Trinity. The victory secured 20 points and meant the team secured the Halifax Sunday League Division 1 title by 13 points.

Finally, the 4th XI were unable to play their game against Sowerby Bridge Church Institute meaning Lightcliffe finished sixth in the Halifax Sunday League Division 3.

It all takes the total number of trophies won across the club in our 150th anniversary year to 8:
