Saturday saw Lightcliffe host our first U9s Festival of Cricket which was a huge success with dozens of young boys and girls from eight different West Yorkshire clubs each competing in three matches.

The event was won by Booth Cricket Club who beat Liversedge Cricket Club in the final – but cricket was the real winner thanks to some brilliant young players, supported by coaches & parents.

Thank you to each and every team who signed up, made the journey to Till Carr Lane and took part, and to our own volunteer team who organised the event.

And we literally couldn’t have done it without the support of Lightcliffe Golf Club for the loan of their driving range to become our Nursery Ground and the perfect venue for the Festival.
