Lightcliffe's senior sides had a mixed weekend but strong form of 2nds & 3rds continues with the club's young players making key contributions.

Saturday saw another brilliant win for the 2nd XI at Yeadon by 11 runs. Isaac Morley top scored with the bat with 65 while Redford Holdsworth was crucial with the ball with 3-47. The 2nds are now fourth in the Bradford Premier League 2nd XI Premier.

At home, the 1st XI were beaten by table topping Yeadon at home by 8 wickets.

On Sunday, a brilliant maiden century from 15-year old Jack Anderson (pictured above) was the highlight of the 3rd XI victory by 158 runs over Great Horton Park Chapel. 14-year old Villager Jacob Carroll was also key, taking 4-25 with the ball.

At home, the 4th XI were chasing 215 set by Rastrick and fell just 17 runs short despite a brilliant innings from 16-year old Ayaan Akram with 75 off 96.

A great day for our young Villagers, and Jack's unbeaten 100 from just 59 balls, including 17 4's and 2 6's, is definitely worth reliving - here's just a few of those 19 boundaries to enjoy >>
