Lightcliffe 1st XI clinch promotion; 2nd XI remain top of the table

Congratulations to our 1st XI who have secured promotion - and in some style.
Taking on East Ardsley this afternoon at Till Carr Lane, Lightcliffe made a stunning 391/4 in an innings that included centuries for Niall Lockley (110) and Rajat Dey (116*) and an excellent 91 for George Leach.
In reply, the visitors were all out for 216 with Jordan Pickles taking 5-86 meaning it was victory for the 1st XI by 175 runs, 20 points and a top two place in the table secured.
Elsewhere, another strong win for the 2nd XI, by 93 runs, means they remain top of their table by 46 points and are 51 clear of the 3rd placed team.
